1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GateScan platform, website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by GateScan ("Mediadost Ads Solutions OPC Pvt. Ltd.", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GateScan provides a digital entry and access management platform designed for events, educational institutions, corporate offices, and residential societies. Our Service includes, but is not limited to, the generation of QR-based passes, digital and physical ticket distribution features, real-time analytics dashboards, and mobile-based scanning applications for access control.

3. Account Registration & Security

To utilize the full capabilities of GateScan, you may be required to create an organizer or administrative account.

• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, passwords, and API keys.
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
• GateScan cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

As a user or administrator of the GateScan platform, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, illegal, or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the Service.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Service or the networks or services connected to the Service.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any computer viruses, worms, or any software intended to damage or alter a computer system or data.
• Sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.

5. Data Privacy & Security

Your privacy and the security of your attendees' data is a top priority for us. All data transmitted through GateScan is protected using AES-256 encryption. By using our Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information and the data generated through your events.

6. Fees and Payments

Certain features of GateScan are provided for a fee, either on a per-event basis or through recurring annual licenses (e.g., Agency Licenses). You agree to pay all applicable fees related to your use of the Service. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing. We reserve the right to change our pricing upon reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall GateScan, its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, that result from the use of, or inability to use, this service.

8. Service Interruptions & Offline Mode

While GateScan offers an "Offline-First Mode" to allow continued scanning during internet outages, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. We are not liable for any disruptions, delays, or issues at your gates caused by third-party internet service providers, local network failures, or hardware malfunction of the scanning devices provided by your own staff (BYOD).

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of India. GateScan (Mediadost Ads Solutions OPC Pvt. Ltd.) and yourself irrevocably consent that the courts of Patna, Bihar shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
